“Never see a need without doing something about it”
Mary MacKillop pioneered a new form of religious life to provide education for children of colonial families who suffered isolation and hardship. She is recognised for many good works but we believe Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop’s greatest legacy to Australia was making Catholic education available to the poor. The MacKillop Fund was created in 2012 with the same mission – making Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Brisbane accessible to students experiencing hardship due to poverty, serious health issues in the family, or family breakdown.

How your donations help children in need
Your gifts to the MacKillop Fund help to provide Catholic education bursaries to children whose families are in crisis. The bursary includes their tuition (for either primary school or high school), and local excursions. The school provides uniforms and textbooks.
