The year 2020 has already been a disrupted one for students. Electronic and homeschooling is suddenly taking centre stage. Children are cut off from the friends and activities they enjoy under normal circumstances. Because of generosity like yours, the MacKillop Fund has given 44 children, whose families are living in significant hardship, access to a computer and other vital resources that are required to help them through this school year.
Families who apply for a MacKillop Fund Bursary come from all walks of life, with different experiences of extreme hardship, trauma and financial devastation. What they share in common is a deep desire for their child to receive a Catholic education. This is an important aspect of the MacKillop Fund – that we provide students with a supportive and caring Catholic community. A ‘family’ that encourages them to reach their potential.

How your donations help children in need
A Catholic Education helps young people learn and develop as people of compassion, integrity, and faith. Your gifts to the MacKillop Fund will help lift families in trauma and despair into opportunity. The bursary includes tuition (for either primary school or high school), textbooks, uniforms and local excursions.
Please consider making a donation using the form below, or you can set up a monthly gift and give children in our local community a chance to fulfil their unique potential through a Mary MacKillop Bursary.
If you would like to designate your donation to helping those impacted by the pandemic, you can do so here.
