Our Parish has always depended upon the generosity and trust of parishioners and families, and their financial contributions. This commitment helps us pay our bills and plan for the future. With seven churches, six schools, four OSHC services, and eighteen social housing units, this support is a testimony to past and present parishioners. This is also a testimony to our parish engaging in the world around us.

About the Fund

Ensuring we have a regular income into the future is one of the greatest challenges facing our Parish. Due to the age of many of our buildings (many over 120 years old), our maintenance and repair costs are a lot higher than most parishes. As a result, these costs pull finances away from our mission.

In response we have established the Ipswich Catholic Community Endowment Fund, which guarantees income to provide these services and ministries. An endowment fund is an investment fund where the capital is preserved, and income is allocated annually to support our parish.

Ipswich Catholic Community Endowment Fund bequest clause:

“I give [insert amount/percentage/asset] to The Corporation of the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane ABN 25 328 758 007 for the use and benefit of the general charitable, religious and educational purposes of the “Ipswich Catholic Community Endowment Fund”. However, if this Parish ceases to exist in its current form, then to the new parish or parishes erected in its stead which may include the Parish named in this clause (if more than one then equally as tenants in common). I direct that the receipt of the Financial Administrator for the time being of The Corporation of the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane ABN 25 328 758 007 shall constitute a sufficient discharge to my trustee.”
