Domestic and Family Violence Support
Across Queensland, more than 175,000 domestic and family violence incidents were recorded in the past year. Behind each of those reports is someone who is desperate for safety and has nowhere to turn. Your kindness through a tax-deductible gift can change what happens next for a woman in this position. You will give a woman safety and help her find secure housing. You will ensure she has counselling and that she receives legal help that could change the direction of her entire future.
Housing Support
For most of us, the idea of being homeless is inconceivable. With friends, support networks and families to catch us when we fall, we know that should the worst happen, we have a safety net of loved ones in place.
But for thousands of people in our local community the loss of security, the fear of not knowing where to turn next, and the grief of not being able to provide a home for their children is very real.
Through your donation to support Centacare’s Homelessness Support Program, you help countless vulnerable people in our local community.

School Savvy
The start of each new school year can be an expensive time for families, and we are here to help through our School Savvy initiative. First launched in Maryborough in January 2026, School Savvy brought the community together to support more than 200 families, helping children start the school year with confidence and the essentials they need to learn.
In January 2027, the School Savvy Pop-up Shop will return to Maryborough and expand to Hervey Bay and the Gold Coast, helping even more families ahead of the new school year.
