Recognising Outstanding Alumni: Nominations Now Open

The St Leo's College Alumni Association aims to recognise and celebrate the many outstanding achievements of St Leo’s alumni. We are now seeking nominations for the  inaugural SLCAA awards in 2025.

Award recipients will be announced at this year’s annual celebration, exclusively at Madame Wu, Brisbane on Saturday 8 November 2025.

Young Alumnus of the Year

The Young Alumnus Award will recognise alumni under the age of 30 who has demonstrated an outstanding level of professional achievement and/or community contribution in a short career span since leaving St Leo’s College.

Outstanding Alumnus of the Year

The Alumnus of the Year Award will recognise alumni who have demonstrated an outstanding level of professional achievement and/or community contribution since leaving St Leo’s College and particularly in 2025.

Leo’s Legend Status

 

‘Leo’s Legend’ status will be awarded to alumni who have demonstrated a ‘lifetime’ of outstanding professional achievement and/or community contribution since leaving St Leo’s College.

Selection process and criteria

Nominations for the awards are encouraged from all St Leo’s Alumni.

Award recipients must excel across the following eligibility criteria: 

  • In alignment with the Mission and identity of the college, demonstrate an outstanding contribution to their community through positive contribution felt by many - locally, nationally and/or internationally.
  • Their accomplishment(s) significantly raise their profile and standing within the broader community, and/or their profession.
  • They demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities in a variety of contexts that could include volunteerism, community work, or through their profession.
  • Their work and/or contribution in the community inspires action, emotion or a response in others.

Key dates

  • Nominations open: 16 June 2025
  • Nominations close: End August 2025
  • Award recipients notified: Mid-September 2025
  • Awards presentation: SLCAA Annual Celebration, Saturday 8 November 2025.
