Schools supporting the Annual Catholic Campaign
Catholic schools from Childers to Coolangatta are essential partners in supporting care for vulnerable people in our local communities. This year, the Annual Catholic Campaign will be held in parishes on 8 and 9 September 2018 and we encourage schools to consider a fundraising event around this time, with donations supporting the ministries of Centacare.
How can our school be involved?
1. Hold a fundraising event
Your school can help Care of Heart by holding a fundraising event for the Annual Catholic Campaign. All donations from your school will support Centacare to help fund domestic and family violence respite centres, hospital chaplains, prison ministries, and Catholic Psychiatric Pastoral Care. Some ways to help include:
- Have a gold coin day – make it fun and hold a free-dress day
- Fundraise with food – have a sausage sizzle, organise a movie and pizza night at school or a picnic in the park OR
- Celebrate a school Mass – invite grandparents, parents, guardians and friends along to a school Mass to pray for the good works of our local Church. A special collection can be taken to support Centacare.
2. Making a donation
To enable us to credit your gift toward your school or college please contact us with your school’s Supporter ID. You can donate via cheque or EFT.
Cheque: Please make a cheque payable to ‘Annual Catholic Campaign’ and mail it to Catholic Foundation, GPO Box 282, BRISBANE Q 4001.
Electronic Transfer of Funds: Please call our team on 07 3324 3200 to donate via EFT.
