Del & Felice Zaccari established an endowment in 2013, which funds scholarships for Catholic school teachers wishing to pursue post-graduate studies in theology. Their generosity doesn’t end there; in 2014 they wanted to help the Church more broadly and became regular givers.
“Being less physically able then I once was I’m not able to support the Church by being on councils or championing causes, but this hasn’t stopped me from providing philanthropic support. I feel a personal conviction that as Catholics, we should do what we can. We must help the poor, we must educate young people, and we must pass on the true Catholic faith – these are the things I am interested in for younger generations.
We need to support our priests; we need to support their education and their aged care. We’re not fond of the limelight, but we hope that others will share the same conviction and take action for the Church in whatever way they are able.”
