We need your help to support the most vulnerable people in our community

You and Centacare are supporting people in desperate need

“As a Centacare hospital chaplain, I’ve helped people through the toughest moments of their lives. The first time I saw a child taken off life support was one of the most difficult experiences I’ve ever had in my life. His parents asked me to pray the final prayers for him and to be there while the doctors switched off the machines. The room was quiet and calm as he passed away, but I could feel his parents’ hearts breaking. “All I can do is be there for them, offer silent prayers, share their grief and be a connection to Christ. In times like these, you realise that everything happens in God’s time. I’ve helped people through the toughest moments of their lives when they are struggling to understand why things are happening around them.”

Centacare needs your help

A number of Centacare’s services are run by volunteers and receive no government funding whatsoever. Others are under-funded meaning our staff can’t cope with the demand and are faced with the heart-wrenching reality of turning people away from their doors. If you are able, please consider a tax-deductible gift before 30 June 2018.

Please give a gift to Centacare

If you would like to give a gift at the end of this financial year to support Centacare’s essential services for individuals and families in need, your gift it will be gratefully received. A regular monthly gift will provide an even greater impact, as it reduces administrative costs and gives Centacare a secure source of funding.
